Our congregation is a very traditional group by design. Over the past eleven years of my ministry, we have seen a low attendance of 17 to much higher groups. In the past few years, we have had baptisms each Easter, giving us an added source of joy. Just recently, due to a few visitors, instead of an attendance of 17, we had an attendance of 63.

My wife. Laura Clingenpeel, is the chairperson of the Elders and is doing a great job of organizing our small body of leaders into an effective force in the community. We currently serve several local mission projects, take communion to the shut-in folks.

Please come visit with us at 10:30 on any Sunday morning. We have a fine traditional worship service.

Cornwall has just released his latest book, “Faith in the Public Square.” This 182 page release contains 55 essays that address current issues in government and the role that people of various faith traditions can play. “Faith in the Public Square is a must-read for anyone and everyone concerned about the continuing role of religion in public life,” said Ken Brooker Langston, Director of the Disciples Justice Action Network.” Cautioning against both a religiously naked public square and public space dominated by a particular religion, the insightful essays in this important book invite readers to carefully reflect upon and then publicly act upon their faith--and to do so with authenticity, humility and effectiveness in an increasingly pluralistic society. Pastor Bob has been senior minister at Central Woodward Christian Church since 2008. …
