What is your understanding of the role and responsiblities of your congregation's Board? Are you aware of the legal requirements of members of the Board? Do you have knowledge of the legal requirements of members of the Board? They may sound like boring questions to answer but in today's world they are important to understand and know how to answer. And Adams walks you into the process with an engaging and inviting style. This will be a particularly beneficial presentation for all congregational church leaders, officers, elders etc.
Of course there will be worship and exhuberant, joyous singing; the Regional Minister will give us a review of the work of the region, we'll hear about the excitement planned for Crystal Camps this summer; and there will be a short business session including a look at how critical it is for congregations and individuals to be supporting the region financially. Voting Privileges for the Business Session are described in the Assembly Registration Form attached to this web news page.
In addition, John Martek, will introduce us to Mission First! which seeks to help Disciples identify the next mission priorities for our church in the USA and Canada. What does God have for us as we move toward the year 2020 and beyond? That's the focus of Mission Matters! and for all of us. Be part of this denomination-wide process by attending the regional assembly.
