Join Rev. Courtney Armanto co-author of the General Assembly Resolution GA- 1928, A Call to See and Respond to the Crisis of Domestic and Intimate Partner Violence, in reviewing this call to action for the whole church around education, support, and reduction of domestic and partner violence. The discuss will focus on specific action steps that individuals and congregations can take in working to help sitter the shame, silence and stigma that too often surrounds situations of domestic violence as you implement simple initiatives in your church context.

This is the first part of a two part-workshop that will conclude with the discussion of establishing safe sanctuaries in your churches on October 19, 2023. The October 19 workshop will be a part of the educational offerings of the CCIW Regional Assembly.

Courney Armento is driven to inspire the power of community to create systemic change, in that vein, she co-authored resolution GA-1928. A Call to See and Respond to the Crisis of Domestic and Intimate Partner Violence. This resolution is a call to action for the whole church around education, support and reduction of violence at every level of the church. Currently, due to the subversive nature of abuse, leaders do not believe that abuse is happening in their communities. Courtney is intentionally Un*Unsilencing Domestic Violence with her training curriculum.
